Belly dance is a Western term for a traditional Middle Eastern dance form. In the Arabic language it is known as raqs sharqi (رقص شرقي; literally “oriental dance”). Raqs Sharqi belly dancing consists of movements that are executed throughout the body. The focus of the dance is the pelvic and hip area. It is, fundamentally, a solo improvisational dance with its own unique dance vocabulary that is fluidly integrated with the music’s rhythm. According to me this little girl embodies it!
As reported earlier, Paris Hilton was in the Middle East today, Turkey more specifically! She appeared on a show called Miss Turkey 2008 and played the role of a judge.
At some point, Paris Hilton went on stage and started belly dancing with famous Turkish belly dancer Asena.
