You have probably seen this talented algerian Hip Hop dancer many times before in nikewoman ads or in Madonna’s video clips and may want to know more about her, so here’s a short biography of her :

Sofia Boutella’s biography:

French of algerian origin, she’s the daughter of Safy Boutella, composer and choreographer. She began dancing at a very young age and studied classic dance in Algeria. Her parents moved to France when she was 10… she then started gymnastics.

At 16 she left school and decided to devote herself to sports. She worked with Bianca Li, famous choreographer who was the choreographer of daft Punk’s video: “Around the world”. From there on, everything started to move fast: She becomes the icon of nikewoman, and got everybody talking about her thanks to her performances. 

She worked with Jamie King, america’s most famous choreographer and travelled across Europe and the U.S. She became one of Madonna’s best dancers, you can see her in the video of “hung up” and “sorry”, she also danced for Jamairoquai, Rihanna and in the european tour of Mariah Carey.
